HOTEL CORONADO
The comprehensive intervention at the Hotel Coronado complex, located on Ctra de Cala Fornells, in the Paguera urbanization in Calvia (Illes Balears), aims to improve and modernize the existing facilities, enhance their quality, explore and consolidate new market segments, expand the service offering, and improve accessibility.
This renovation will be carried out in two phases. The first phase includes the complete refurbishment of 136 rooms, the renovation of the thalasso-spa, the construction of an outdoor terrace, the expansion of the main block by 3 rooms per floor, and the creation of a new ground-floor room area with green roofs. The second phase includes the expansion of the main building with an adjoining structure and the creation of a total of 48 rooms.
The design of the façades and the orientation of the various buildings have been adapted to the topographical and formal conditions of the plots and existing structures, achieving a nearly identical solution in both scenarios. This intervention respects the existing volumes and vegetation, creating a stepped volumetric design on the street-facing façade and adapting to the terrain in the southern area.
