VERSATIL: LOCAL CULINARIO

The project of this new culinary establishment is a very personal bet of the chef and his partner, owners of other bars/restaurants with many years of tradition (one of them with more than 100 years old).

This new concept of culinary-workshop space is located on the edge of the urban area of the municipality of Sa Pobla, on the ring road around the town centre, facing entirely to the south and with very easy access for pedestrians and vehicles.

In this rectangular premises with a chamfered area in the south-west corner of a single floor, the design conjures up metaphors of the rural world and the local gastronomy (Majorca's lagoon), enhancing the new concept of a culinary space and at the same time a kitchen workshop.

It is a small space that contains a single main dining room, with a special bar area, and behind it the kitchen-workshop area with independent access. This dining room combines a metal cladding finish on walls and ceilings with a continuous polished concrete floor (terrazzo) made on site, which responds to the idea the property had with the new concept of culinary premises located in a kind of garage, in keeping with the premises appearing in this area of the municipality.

As for its exterior, it tries to reflect the autochthonous architecture (ceramic elements and continuous cladding) combined with an important cladding (thermal insulation), appropriate to its location totally to the south with openings with metal enclosures with high solar protection and passive elements of the building itself as solar protection (large concrete canopy).
